How to Get There
By Plane:
There are 3 main airports that you can fly into and it is relatively easy to get to kirchdorf once you are there. Salzburg is the closest airport, Innsbruck next and then Munich.
Salzburg is serviced by Ryan Air so flights can be relatively cheap www. ryanair.com.
Innsbruck is serviced by a few different airlines so to find our about flight to Innsbruck there are many different websites you can try. E.g www.lastminute.com, www.opodo.com or any other which normally have cheap flights.
Munich is serviced by many airlines but one of the better value ones is www. easyjet.com
By Train:
Express trains all stop in St. Johann in Tirol. It is very important that you remember you are going to St.Johann in Tirol(i.T), as there are more than one St Johann in Austria.
Train Times:
From Salzburg - approx. 2,5 hours
From Innsbruck - approx. 1,5 hours
From Vienna - approx. 5 hours
From Munich - approx 2,5 hours
There is the local train network website you can look up for the train timetables and information. See www.oebb.at, the website is available in English.
We will pick you up at the train station and bring you to the Hotel which is only 5 kilometres further.
By Car:
From Salzburg it is one road to get from the airport to Kirchdorf. You exit the airport following the exit signs and at the traffic lights turn left onto the B178. Follow the road and you will eventually pick up St johann in Tirol signs, follow them all the way until you reach Kirchdorf in Tirol. The distance is approx. 80kms from the city centre and approx. 75kms from the airport.
From Innsbruck you will follow the A12 Inntal motorway (toll free), heading towards Wörgl. once you get closer to Wörgl you take the `Wörgl Ost` exit and this where you pick up the first St Johann Signs on the B178 federal road. The distance is approx. 90 kms from the city centre and approx. 100kms from the airport. Once you reach St Johann, continue a further 5 kms on the same road ( direction Salzburg) until you reach Kirchdorf. Turn left towards the city centre, after about 400 metres you will come to a bridge, we are the first house on the right hand side after the bridge.
From Munich you follow th A12 Inntal motorway (toll free), following signs for Innsbruck. You will then exit at the 'Kufstein Sud' where you will pick up your first signs for St johann. Follow these signs on the B173 and B178 federal road signs until you reach St. Johann. Then continue on to kirchdorf as per the directions from Innsbruck.
Please note: to drive on the motorway in Austria you must make sure your vehicle has a permit (vignette). These can be bought at petrol stations.
